Belen, NM is nicknamed “The Hub City” because of its major rail junction, and because of its geographical position as the heart of New Mexico. Only 35 miles from Albuquerque, it’s the perfect spot to stop and spend a few days (or more!) sightseeing and exploring the area.
While you’re here, there are some interesting places to explore in Belen itself, whether you are looking for good food, beautiful views, or some local shopping. And, our town is the southernmost stop for the Railrunner, which runs from Belen to Santa Fe and all stops in between!
Pete’s Café – Family style New Mexican dining.
Fat Sat’s Bar and Grill – Small town place. Big city taste.
Harvey House – Railroad history museum.
Rail Runner – Hop on the train to Santa Fe, casinos, and much more.
